Molecular Structure

Lithium hydroxide is a strong base that is more chemically similar to the Group 2 hydroxide in the Periodic Table of the Elements and is quite different from the Group 1 hydroxide. Chemical formula LiOH, molecular weight 23.95, white tetragonal crystal, strong corrosive and irritating to skin.

 

Applications

 

(1）LIOH used as a raw material for the preparation of lithium compounds.

(2）Industrial LiOH can be used in metallurgy, petroleum, glass, ceramics and other industries。

(3）Battery-grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate is mainly used for the preparation of cathode materials for lithium ion batteries, and it can also be used as an additive for alkaline battery electrolytes.
